Peter is on his way to Luxembourg, for Med-e-Tel 2009, which starts tomorrow (http://www.medetel.eu). The three-day event has a focus on ehealth and telehealth, and a brief look through the programme shows some interesting-looking sessions.
I will be blogging here as much as time, inclination, wifi connectivity and energies permit – so, keep coming back to check. If you use twitter, you can also check up on tweets (on http://www.twitter.com/peterjmurray), which will also have the hashtag #medetel09 to help in searching. I understand some other people will also be blogging and twittering, so I hope we can link up our various offerings.
This ‘filler’ update is due to an unexpected 6-7 hour wait in Schiphol airport, Amsterdam, for my flight to Luxembourg. Travel plans did not go as expected today. I got to Birmingham (UK, not Alabama) airport in plenty of time this morning (after getting up with the pre-dawn birdsong), and the flight over from the UK was fine. However, due to the short connection time, landing on the furthest runway from the terminal (I think we taxied from somewhere around Rotterdam- or maybe Paris, or Brussels), and then slow passport control to get into Schengen zone, I did not make my planned flight. Still, there are worse places to sit that the KLM frequent flyer lounge here, which has free wifi (and other things that I won’t make people like Scott jealous by mentioning), and I have plenty of music on the iTouch.
OK, time for a top-up on the champagne before I have a play around with WordPress and look at setting up some Coveritlive sites for covering Med-e-Tel. More tomorrow.

Peter will be at Med-e-Tel 2009 in Luxembourg (www.medetel.eu) and will be blogging, twittering, etc. from the event. Med-e-Tel runs from 1-3 April.
He will also be giving a short presentation, “Does Web 2.0 have any value for nursing and informatics?” as part of the Tele-nursing session on Thursday, 2 April, 14:00 – 15:30. He also hopes to get to some, or all, of the EFMI LIFOSS WG workshop on Friday, 3 April, 09:30 – 16:00, being run by Thomas Karopka and Etienne Saliez.
Blogging and twittering will probably start on Tuesday 31 March, as I travel to Luxembourg – will use hashtag #medetel09 on Twitter unless I hear of any other being preferred.
